Traditionally, what is known as the “last mile” problem has been the lack of fiber-optic infrastructure all the way to the end user. Due to this lack of infrastructure, service providers have been forced to use existing antiquated copper infrastructure, which radically limits service speed and quality.
Anywhere the OpenFiber Network reaches, its end users can be immediately serviced by any provider that wishes to participate on the platform. Service providers can reach more customers without the up-front capital investment for construction.
